Tasks / Aufgaben / Úkoly:
- Mechanical design and development of components and assemblies for the automotive industry
- Creation and modification of 3D models, assemblies and technical drawings
- Development of design solutions considering packaging space, functionality, manufacturability, costs and quality
- Coordination with internal departments such as Optics, Electronics, Testing, Production and Project Management
- Support in the development of plastic components, housings, brackets and mechanical interfaces
- Review and implementation of technical requirements and customer-specific specifications
- Support of development projects from the concept phase through to series production
- Implementation of design changes, optimizations and preparation of technical documentation
Conditions / Anforderungen / Požadavky:
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or in a comparable position
- Very good knowledge of CATIA V5
- Experience in the development and design of automotive components
- Ideally, experience in automotive lighting, headlights, rear lights or exterior components
- Knowledge of plastic component design, injection moulding, component development and design for manufacturability is an advantage
- Project experience with automotive suppliers, OEMs or relevant competitors is desirable
- Strong technical understanding of interfaces with optics, electronics, thermal management and production
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working approach
- Good English skills for collaboration within international project teams
- Willingness to work on projects in Eastern Europe
